There are reports that Igbinedion University Okada has, this morning, been swooped on by gunmen who have unleashed vicious attacks on the students, especially the males, matcheting and beating them up.
There's a lot of chaos going on in the school right now and the students are scared to death as the gunmen have gained access into one of the girls hostels.
The school gate has also been barricaded, and in true Nigerian fashion the Police is yet to arrive on the scene!

Update: The school is now calm. No life was lost but several students were injured. New reports suggest it was a clash between students and ex-militants who are also students of the school.
