P-Square finally speak about late Mum

P-Square has finally spoken out after the death of their mother, Josephine Okoye, who passed away on Wednesday in India.

Peter said, "My mother will be greatly missed, not just because she was our mother, but because she played a vital role in the success story of P-Square. You know that she was a prayer warrior, so I don't need to tell you how she stood by us spiritually. Besides, she was the only one that believed in us when we decided to make a career out of music. I can remember that she used to sneak us out at night then to attend shows without the consent of our father who insisted that we must quit music to face our studies in school."

A condolence  register has been opened in their Omole Phase 1 residence.

According to the singers' publicist, Bayo Adetu, she was first admitted to St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos, but when her condition did not improve, she was transferred to Kolkata, India, where she died, five hours after undergoing a heart surgery.

Josephine Okoye is survived by her husband, Moses,  and six other children; Ifeanyi, Henry, Jude, Lilian, Tony and Mary.
