Beyoncé has been a little busy this year, what with bringing daughter Blue Ivy into the world and all that goes along with it, but her maternity leave from showbiz effectively ended last night, when the music superstar returned to the stage for the first time since giving birth.
"It is exciting," she said of her series of Memorial Day weekend concerts at Atlantic City's Revel Casino and Hotel. "I feel a little nervous. "I'm enjoying being a mother. It's like going back to my old job; it's a little strange, but it's important that you don't lose yourself and you still have your own passions. And I'm back to work, I'm back to business."
"I haven't sang in a year," she said. "What I'm trying to say with this show is, yes, I had a baby, but I'm even more grounded."
Beyoncé's three-night run began last night.
